Taking part in the Canadian Championship – Body Painting LNE, is to push the limits of your art, to make a human canvas a true work of art that will propel you to the highest peaks of the industry.
This year we will have 2 categories of finalists: Pro and Semi-Pro.
Starting March 2nd, 2020 a jury will select the 10 Pro and 10 Semi-Pro finalists who will have the chance to compete for a place in each category on May 3rd for the grand finale of the LNE Canadian Championship – Body Painting LNE, all during the LNE Canada Congress. The jury will base their selection of finalists on the portfolios received.
Selection will be made primarily on the basis of the following evaluation criteria:
1. Respect for the theme
2. Originality of design
4. Use of colours
5. Techniques / Work Ethic
6. Cleanliness of equipment, working environment and hygiene of work tools.
7. Accuracy of lines and details
8. Creativity and originality in the use of accessories
9. Balance of light and shade
10. The whole work
- 1-2 Low
- 3-4 Medium
- 5-6 Good
- 7-8 Very good
- 9-10 Excellent
For the grand finale, the selected participants will have 4 hours to realise a half-body (front / back) from the head to the hips of their model WITH THE POSSIBILITY of including costume and accessories to the look.
The finalists, themselves will have to provide material and model to complete their work (no assistant IS ALLOWED). It is the responsibility of the participants to have the legal documents concerning the use of the image of the model signed for subsequent publication, both on the web and in Les Nouvelles Esthétiques Canada magazine. The organization will in no way be responsible for finding and / or managing the models of the selected participants.
The selected participants agree to be free of all obligations on May 3, 2020 all day long.
