RUTH VACHON CEO, RÉSEAU DES FEMMES D’AFFAIRES DU QUÉBEC

Ruth Vachon has faced most challenges that could come across an entrepreneur’s path. Known by the business community and the general public as the head of the Réseau des femmes d’affaires du Québec (RFAQ), this Saguenay native started her career at Alcan, then founded, at 28, her first company while starting a family. Her boundless commitment and contagious passion has earned her the title of Saguenay Businesswoman of the year many times. With hindsight and concrete experience on the field, Ms. Vachon has a fresh perspective of the issues facing modern businesswomen and leaders. The RFAQ is a network of more than 2,000 members and the only business network that recognizes the importance and accomplishments of businesswomen. As the president of this organization for the past 2 years, Mrs. Vachon has contributed to the success and the development of female initiatives around the world, and helped increase their economic influence.


 

JOCELYNA DUBUC, PRESIDENT SPA EASTMAN

Jocelyna Dubuc holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and Geography as well as a Teaching Degree. A trip to India in 1970 prompts her interests for alternative medicine and psychology. Driven by a deep desire to share her knowledge and help people improve their lives, she creates the Eastman Health Center in 1977, now known as Spa Eastman. She focuses on offering guests an unparalleled relaxation experience and offers new ways of taking care of their health and wellbeing. In 1993, in collaboration with other influent members of the industry, she establishes the Spas Relais Santé®, an association whose mission is to promote and regulate the spa industry. JANIE DUQUETTE, FEMALE LEADERSHIP SPECIALIST

Trained as a lawyer, she went to be a renowed music producer, Mrs. Duquette became a businesswoman at the age of 28 when she was named CEO of a company belonging to the Canadian music giant Donald K Donald. She participated in La Chicane, Corneille, Dany Bédard, and Jonas’s success. Janie Duquette grew up in a remote area and comes from a modest background, a far cry from the world of showbiz and business she is part of today. With passion and perseverance, she has managed to stand out and make her mark on the industry. After 15 years in the industry, she will follow the recommendation of a prolific editor, and begin writing about her career. She will publish the bestseller «Les 7 clés du leadership féminin» and since then, has worked in communications. Her new company, Alma ma terre, supports initiatives that encourage female leadership. Her second book, «Faire une femme de soi», explores her professional background and was published in November 2017 by Les Éditions La Semaine.


 

CLODINE DESROCHERS, AUTHOR, SPEAKER AND TELEVISION HOST

Author, speaker and television host, the public loves Clodine for her spark and zest for life. She has been present on Quebec television screens for over 20 years, and has won two Artis Awards. At the helm of Les saisons de Clodine and Tout simplement Clodine during 13 years, she was the first Quebec television host to have her own magazine and line of kitchen products. Curious and do-it-all, she also records two successful children’s albums. In 2015, she publishes Au nom de l’amour, a best-selling biography about her mother and the lives of women in the forties and fifties. In 2017, Clodine also launches her line of anti-aging, organic, vegan, and ultra-efficient cosmetics: Shakti Cosmetics. Presently, Clodine continues to develop and promote Shakti Cosmetics. She also speaks across Quebec in a conference entitled Suivre son Coeur. During this conference, she candidly takes us behind the scenes of her professional and personal life to discuss the importance of follow
