EDITORIAL FASHION MAKE-UP RULES Glamour Evening

 

COMPETITION TIME: 5 hours

  • The competition theme is open to the contestant to create creative, whimsical and glamorous make-up.
  • Competitors must provide their own model (male or female) and all the material necessary to produce the finished look. Glamour Evening
  • No assistants for the model or competitor are allowed during the competition.
  • The presence of a hairdressing artist will be accepted. His or her full name must be provided.
  • The finalists, their model and the hairstylist must arrive at the competition area half an hour (1/2) before the start of the competition.
  • Costumes and hair must be completed on site.
  • All make-up must be done by the competitor. If the make-up is not completed at the end of the allotted time, it will be judged as is.
  • Keep in mind that the majority of points earned will be highlighted on the face. (Remember that this is not Body Painting).
    All finalists must have their model sign a release form authorizing the taking of photos and videos for use by LES NOUVELLES ESTHÉTIQUES CANADA.

  • A text of presentation on your career – Biography
  • A high-resolution photo of you
  • Description of the artistic process
  • 4-8 photos from your portfolio** (.eps, .jpeg, .pdf format, 1 mo minimum)
  • Pay your registration fee $50.00, non-refundable

THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS MARCH 15, 2020 at 11:59 PM.

**The photos you submit must be in colour.

 

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Selected candidates will receive conference tickets included and valid for both days.
  • In the event that the participant does not make it to the final, we will give him/her a one-day ticket valid for Monday, May 4, 2020 to access the congress.
  • The registration fee is in no way exchangeable for a congress ticket.

Judging will take place during and after the competition.

Competition schedule (subject to change):

 

ARRIVAL OF THE FINALISTS: 9:00 a.m.
SET-UP: 9:30 to 10:00 a.m.
HAIR AND CLOTHING: 10:00 am to 11:00 am
SEMI-FINAL: 11:00 am to 1:30 pm
JUDGING: 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm
WALK ON THE CONGRESS FLOOR: 2:30 to 3:30 pm (including relaxation and lunch time)
CHALLENGE AND AWARDS IN THE CONFERENCE ROOM: 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

LNE reserves the right to change the competition schedule at any time.

 

CREATIVE CURRENT MAKE-UP RULES (participation in photos)

 

The competition theme is open to competitors to create creative make-up.

    • 1 unretouched macro photo (.eps, .jpeg, .pdf format, 1 mo minimum

    • 1 final product macro photo (.eps, .jpeg, .pdf format, 1 mo minimum)
    • 1 final product portrait photo (photoshop allowed) (.eps, .jpeg, .pdf format, 1 mo minimum)
    • 2 of your portfolio** (.eps, .jpeg, .pdf format, 1 mo minimum)
  7. Pay your registration fee $50.00, non-refundable

The finalists’ photos will be displayed on the floor of the editorial makeup championship Monday, May 4 at the LNE Congress to be held at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal.

A panel of judges selected by LNE CANADA will judge the photos live on the floor and determine the first and second place winners. The jury will use the above list of evaluation criteria as a guide.

A public prize will also be awarded to one of the finalists.

RESPONSIBILITY

  1. Winners will assume full responsibility for any accident, injury, damage, or claim resulting from their participation in this contest.
  2. All transportation, lodging, personnel and/or any other related costs and/or expenses incurred to participate in this contest are the sole responsibility of the finalists.
  3. The Organizer is not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of user or member communications, or any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email or players due to technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet.
  4. Before third parties appear in such photos/videos, the Participant shall ensure that the consent of the third parties has been obtained, whether or not the aforementioned third party is the model the Participant wishes to include in his/her photo/videos.

RIGHTS OF THE ORGANIZER

  1. The Organizer reserves the right to use the names and/or photographs of the winners as material for advertising, trade and/or publicity purposes without prior notice to the winners and the winners will not be entitled to claim ownership or other forms of compensation on the materials.
  2. The Organizer reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant who is found or suspected to be tampering with the Contest submission process or the operation of this Contest. The Organizer reserves the right to terminate the participation of any person it reasonably suspects has violated any of these terms and conditions.
  3. All submissions must be original and must not violate any party’s intellectual property rights. If you believe that your work has been copied and published in a way that constitutes an infringement of intellectual property, please contact the Organizer.
  4. The Organiser’s decisions are final with respect to any aspect of any aspect of the Contest, including, without limitation, the nomination of winners.
  5. The Organizer, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to modify these Rules without notice, if necessary for the proper conduct of the Contest.
  6. By entering this Contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Contest Rules and the decisions of the Organizer.
